In Time & Space, Abraham Geovanni constructs a profound meditation on divine omnipotence through a charged vocabulary of geometry, gesture, and symbolic mark-making. Set against an expansive white ground, the composition stages an encounter between the finite order of creation and the eternal authority of God; the One who exists beyond, within, and above all temporal and spatial limits.

A forceful diagonal line traverses the canvas as the timeline of human existence: history, movement, sequence, and the measurable passage of life. Yet it does not remain an independent element. It binds the forms together, suggesting that time itself is neither accidental nor autonomous, but held within divine order. Its unified movement evokes God as ultimate Creator: complete, indivisible, perfectly ordered, and able to sustain all things through Himself.

The circle, positioned at the heart of the composition, speaks to God’s eternal being. Without beginning or end, it has long carried associations of infinity, wholeness, and divine perfection. Here, its concentric and active surface suggests more than eternity as a distant idea; it conveys power in motion; God’s authority over time itself and His capacity to act within the world without being confined by it.The triangle operates as a symbol of divine authorship and supreme authority. It may be understood as an emblem of God as Creator of time, space, and all realms of existence, while also invoking the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Its elevated, directional form gives the work a sense of ascent and command, positioning divine excellency above the structures it has brought into being.

At the upper right, the painted clock makes time visible in its most familiar human form. Surrounded by scattered dots that evoke the vastness of space, it becomes a reminder of the universe as both measurable and mysterious. The three surrounding linear marks suggest a reality beyond earthly dimensions: God existing outside time and space, yet wholly present within them.

Elsewhere, the angular zigzag gesture and its accompanying shadows introduce the sense of divine intervention; the hand of God at work across creation. These marks disrupt the stillness of the composition, implying movement, authority, and a force that is unseen but unmistakably active.

Through black pigment, raw gesture, and expansive negative space, Geovanni transforms geometry into theological testimony. Time & Space presents God not simply as the maker of the universe, but as the sovereign presence who governs eternity, orders creation, and remains perfectly united within Himself: able to do all in all.
